SaveStation launches in Barrie, ON!

 In Blog

Sudden Cardiac Arrests happen in Canada on average every 13 minutes. The good news is that there is over a 75% survival rate when an AED is used within the first 10 minutes. For this reason, public-access AEDs that anyone can use are the difference to save a life. SaveStation takes this concept a step further by standardizing the cabinet design and offering indoor/outdoor solutions that can be installed in highly accessible locations across our communities.

Action First Aid is proud to announce that we have launched the first SaveStation Towers in North America!  On November 20th, we attended the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the SaveStation Tower installed at Barrie City Hall and at J.C. Massie Fields on the Georigan College Campus.

The SaveStation Tower is a free-standing outdoor AED cabinet that provides real-time feedback on the AED device, a climate-controlled cabinet, and backlighting for full visibility at any time of day.  The AED is available to anyone, at any time, to be used in a cardiac arrest emergency.

Jamie Massie, a Barrie business leader, generously sponsored both units through the SaveStation Sponsor program. With his donation, Georgian College and the City of Barrie, can offer cardiac protection to the community – day or night.
