Policy Update: March 21st, 2022

In accordance with the province’s decision to ease COVID-19 restrictions, Action First Aid will be making the following changes at our Training Centre locations as of March 21st.

We are excited at the thought of returning to “normal”, but realize that we are not quite there yet. We will be making some gradual changes to our policies for public training within our training centres.  If we are coming to your site to do training, we will follow any protocols your business has in place.

Here is what you can expect at our Training Centres:

  • removal of passive screening upon arrival.  However, if you are not feeling well, we ask that you do not attend class and contact our office prior to the course to re-schedule.  Please stay home if you are unwell.
  • wearing a mask will become optional
  • physical distancing will no longer be in place in our classrooms
  • until further notice, our current programming will remain in place.  This means that there will be no physical contact between participants and each participant will have their own manikin to practice skills.
  • hand sanitizer will be provided throughout our facilities
  • additional cleaning of high touch surfaces will remain in place
  • participants will be permitted to bring and consume food within our facility
  • free coffee, tea and water will be available

Safety protocols at our training centres are subject to change.  Any changes will be available on this web page.

Last updated March 21st, 2022

If you have any questions or concerns about protocols we have put in place, please contact us.

*Update: the liability wavier will be available to sign on arrival.  We are no longer requiring waiver to be signed in advance. View the waiver.

For Courses running until March 20th, 2022

Our instructors will safely guide participants in a socially distanced workspace.

  • We are ensuring that all participants are personally screened for COVID-19 symptoms before entering the classroom.
  • Prior to participant arrival all surfaces and equipment will be sanitized. This includes both inside the classroom and publicly accessible areas within the training centre.
  • We will provide you with your own equipment and sanitation products in a marked section of the classroom that is socially distanced from other participants.

Requirements of Participants

  • All participants are required to wear a face mask. Disposable masks will be available for purchase should you not have one upon arrival.
  • All participants will also be asked wellness screening questions prior to entering the classroom.
  • If a participant is not feeling well either prior to the course we will re-schedule the course at no extra cost. Please stay home.
  • Participants will be asked to respect social distancing practices, wash and/or sanitize hands before entering the training space as well as frequently throughout the duration of the training.
